HAIRDRESSER Claire Taylor has transformed her look – and her life
– after snipping off about seven stones in weight in less than a year.
The Ackworth mum decided to use the LighterLife diet programme after being told she was too overweight for the fertility treatment she wanted so she could give her two-year-old son Monty a brother or sister.

Claire – current cover girl for LighterLife magazine – became pregnant
again after her first course of fertility treatment in October.

She said: "When the specialists said I couldn't have the treatment I needed, I was upset but determined to lose the weight.
"Doctors told me I needed to lose three stone in three months but I didn't go back until I'd lost all the weight – they were absolutely gobsmacked.
"I lost around nine stones in total but I'm pregnant now so am starting to put some back on again.
"It's been a life-changing year, I often wake up and wonder if it is a
dream and keep checking in the mirror."

The 32-year-old, who runs Claire Taylor Hairdressing in Ackworth, starting comfort eating after her first son developed a tumour in the womb and was stillborn in 2005.
She lost six and a half stones on LighterLife – dropping from 17 stones 12 to ten stones eight – after contacting a local programme counsellor.

Claire, of Wakefield Road, added: "All the time I was dieting on the programme I read the magazine and thought 'I'm going to be in there if it kills me'.
"Being chosen for the cover and having the photo shoot in London has been a fantastic experience, they had to cover up my pink hair.
"It is so surreal to see myself on a magazine in the supermarket."
