Armed raid on post office

RAIDERS armed with a hammer and a knife carried out a daylight robbery on a Cutsyke post office.
Two men stormed the shop, on Aketon Road, at 10am on Thursday August 28 brandishing a lump hammer and a chef’s knife.
The robbers threatened the 59-year-old attendant and pushed him into a back room before stealing a quantity of cash from the till.
They escaped in a black VW Golf, driven by a third man.
The attendant was left shaken but unhurt after the incident.
One of the robbers is described as white, about 27, approximately 6ft, well built, clean shaven with a pock-marked round face, wearing a blue waterproof jacket with the hood up, and carrying a lump hammer.
The second robber is described as white, aged 20-22, approximately 5ft 10ins to 5ft 11ins, medium build, thin face, clear complexion, medium-length straight brown hair and wearing an identical jacket to the first robber. He carried a chef’s knife.
