CREATIVE townsfolk jotted down their thoughts about Castleford's bridges in a community workshop.
People were asked to write about the town’s unfinished £4.8m footbridge and the 200-year-old road bridge, both across the River Aire, before designing their own structures in the event.
Yorkshire Arts Circus and Castleford Heritage Trust organised the session on Friday.
Project officer Becky Stirrup said: “These exciting events get everyone involved in art.
“They break down barriers and also build bridges between people – community art and involvement is important to both the trust and Yorkshire Arts Circus.
“People wrote whatever they felt about Castleford’s two bridges and we had a wide range of responses.”
Work completed in the community art event will go on display in Castleford’s 2 Sagar Street gallery and at Yorkshire Arts Circus’ centre on School Lane, Glass Houghton.
