Girl, nine, savaged by dog

A NINE-YEAR-OLD girl has been savagely attacked by a dog in Castleford.
The youngster was bitten on the face by a Japanese Akita dog at about 12.30pm on Thursday afternoon.
It is thought she was visiting a friend at an house on Chiltern Avenue when the incident occurred.


The Express understands her injuries include three four-inch gashes on her face and are not believed to be life-threatening.
