KARATE masters from Castleford opened a special performance by stars of television show Britain's Got Talent.
Members of the town’s branch of the North and East England Martial Arts Federation (NEEMAF) wowed the crowds with their techniques before martial arts duo Strike took to the stage at the Xscape leisure complex on Friday.

Instructor Tracy Kite said: “Students aged from six to 65 performed a mix of techniques.

“One of our members shocked the audience when he performed a mock attack and one of our youngest members overcame him, proving age and size is no obstacle.

“For our grand finale juniors Jamie Roberts and Aiden Hogarth demonstrated breaking techniques.

“I’d like to thank Xscape and Xercise health and fitness for their help as well as Team Strike who spoke to each child and gave them all a signed picture.”

Castleford’s NEEMAF group trains at Xercise health and fitness centre in Xscape.

Other stars of Britain’s Got Talent, including dance group Nemesis and Kate and her dog Gin have appeared there this month.
