Dog fouling is ‘pet hate’

IN reply to the letter regarding dog fouling in Ackworth (‘Wake up call to residents’ Express letters June 14) first may I say 95 per cent of dog owners do clean up after their pets.

As a parish councillor for the past number of years, as soon as a problem is reported to me my first reaction is to ring our parish clerk and then Wakefield Council on 08458506506.

As far as litter bins are concerned, Ackworth Parish Council is constantly complaining to Wakefield about these disappearing.

Dog and horse fouling has been a pet hate of mine for years and as soon as I see or hear of a problem I report it immediately.
