FEATHERSTONE youngsters sowed the seeds of spring to transform areas around the town.
Pupils from Featherstone Technology College, with Little Lane Community Group, planted 1,000 bulbs near Beech Grove and Little Lane bungalows as well as the Jaglin Court sheltered housing development.

Kate Millard, secretary of the group, said: “The youngsters really enjoyed the day and it is a great way to bring pleasure to others.

“Our group’s aim is to improve the area we live in, including local facilities, and create good relationships between different groups of people.

“We would like to thank everyone who took part and helped our event, including Featherstone councillor Roy Bickerton for donating the bulbs.”
