YOUNGSTERS at Featherstone's All Saints' CE Junior School were given the chance to get their hands on a top rugby league trophy.
Kevin Hobbs, Featherstone Rovers’ community development officer, called into the school with the Northern Rail Cup as part of a special tour promoting the knockout competition for the 22 clubs in the National League.
Kevin took part in a question and answer session with the children, who were also encouraged to enter a competition to design a piece of artwork to promote Featherstone’s quarter final game against Salford City Reds at the Chris Moyles’ Stadium last Thursday.
The winners were invited to go to the game with their family and had their design turned into a poster and presented to them on the pitch at half time.
