FORMER classmates at Knottingley High School will reunite to celebrate their 50th birthdays at a "full on and fabulous" prom.
Pupils from the school who were born between September 1 1957 and August 31 1958 will mark their half-centuries during the black tie event at The Owl in Hambleton on Saturday May 17.

Organisers are appealing for former students – and teachers – at the Middle Lane school to get in touch to book tickets.

Tickets cost £22.50 each and partners are welcome. Proceeds will pay for music and food and any money left over will go to a selection of charities.

To book a place, send a cheque, payable to KHS 50s Prom, to Joan Foster at 10 Shelley Drive, Knottingley, West Yorkshire, WF11 8QL.

Anyone with photographs or memorabilia to be displayed at the event should email Andrew Butterwick on atb@atb-associates.co.uk.
