A NEW care home will be built in Knottingley after council chiefs approved plans for the facility.
Wakefield Council’s planning and highways committee gave the green light to a resubmitted application for the three and two-storey care home, which will house 75 people, subject to conditions. Eight letters of objection to the application were received.

Applicant Ladhar Group will build the home at a former council depot on Spawd Bone Lane.
