A CHAMPION in Thai-boxing dropped into Knottingley High School to give a motivational talk to youngsters.
World number one Thai-boxer Rachael Mackenzie spent the afternoon on Monday with a class of students at the Middle Lane school as part of an inspirational initiative organised by Sky, called Sky Living For Sport.

The scheme aims to use high-flying sports men and women to tour schools and act as mentors – helping students achieve personal goals and boost self-esteem.

Lindsay Anfield, a PE teacher at the school, said: “The children had a brilliant time and really looked forward to meeting a world number one. They watched a DVD of her fighting and then she gave them some team-building games and talked to them about improving their self-confidence – using sport as a way of engaging them.”
