I WRITE on behalf of Lion president Gordon and all the other members of Castleford and Pontefract District Lions Club along with Lioness president Jeanne and members of Pontefract Lioness Club, to thank the visitors to Junction 32 Shopping Village for their generosity on the Saturday of the spring bank holiday when we carried out a bucket collection in aid of the China earthquake disaster.
As a result of the generosity of the public, our club was able to send a donation of £650 to our Lions Clubs International Foundation Appeal, on behalf of the victims of the earthquake.
We would also like to place on record our appreciation of the fact that we were allowed at short notice to make this collection by the site management at Junction 32.

J K SMALLEY
