I WOULD like to say a big thank you to all the members of the Pontefract Heritage Group who went to such pains to ensure that the Halloween ghost walks at the castle were enjoyable and informative events.
My friends and I had a very memorable evening. I was particularly impressed by the magnificent torchlit display, the costumes, and the role play. I thought that the whole evening was excellent value for money.

I was even more impressed when I heard how little their budget is, and how much of their own free time the volunteers give towards these shows. I heard that they were applying for a Lottery grant. I really hope that they get one, and a good sized one at that, because I think they really have earned it.
