Hospital parking misery

I AM writing in response to the letter "Parking problems at hospital" (Express November 6).
I live on Carleton Glen and it is outrageous that a person who has lived in their home for 25 years has to find a parking space and carry their weekly shopping and pram half a mile down the road as some thoughtless person has parked outside their house.

They also block people's driveways. I have been in the position where I can't go anywhere as greedy parkers have blocked me in. They park on kerbs, preventing prams and pushchairs getting through, and double park so public transport can't get through.
What would happen if there was an emergency and the ambulance or fire engine couldn't get through due to greedy parkers?

Let's get to the real reason these greedy parkers make Carleton Glen residents' lives a misery. There are three adequate car parks all half empty. However, they are all pay and display car parks.
So, to the thoughtless, selfish, penny pinchers – stop illegally parking and pay the parking charges then you would make everyone's life easier.
