Judge our MP on her record
Published Date:

AFTER reading the report "MPs in expenses probe" (Express, July 3) about our MPs Yvette Cooper and Ed Balls, I felt I had to respond.
The report concludes: "The allowance system has been in place for more than 30 years because MPs need to live and work in two different places."
If Yvette Cooper and Ed Balls stay in their constituencies, they are criticised for not voting on key issues in Parliament. If they stay in Westminster, they're criticised for not caring about the people here in their constituencies.
They just cannot win.
Let us judge Yvette on her record as the MP for Pontefract and Castleford and what she has done to benefit the people of the area and the numerous people I have personally directed her way.
As the Express reported, Yvette and our other local MPs are fighting to keep as many services as possible at PGI so we don't have to go all the way to Dewsbury whenever we need a hospital.
