MEMBERS of Ferrybridge Ladies' Guild have celebrated the group's 40th anniversary with a ruby-themed party.
The guild, formed in 1968 by Ethel Stephenson and Joyce Bell, has met regularly, holding demonstations, talks, theatre outings and day trips.

To celebrate the anniversary, members all wore red to the party and were presented with a commemorative thimble and a tea towel printed with self-portraits.

The party followed a day trip to Knaresborough and Darley Mill last month and the group will next meet at Ferrybridge Community Centre on September 9 at 7.30pm.
