TWO youngsters have scooped top prizes after their mums entered an Arriva competition.
Mums Sue Harrison, from Castleford, and Anita Szalkowska, from Ferry Fryston, entered the vault bus competition during the summer when they posted their tickets into a vault on board special buses.

The winning tickets meant the women’s daughters, Mollie Harrison, ten, and Jodie Richardson, 11, each collected a PlayStation Three console.

Chloe Leach, marketing and communications manager for Arriva Yorkshire, said: “The competition was a great success. In total, we had nine lucky winners who won either an iPod Nano or a PS3.”

The competition ran alongside a trial of special low-floor easy access buses on routes through Pontefract, Castleford, Junction 32 shopping centre, Chequerfield and Ferry Fryston.

The buses are still in service at Castleford’s depot.
