TWO pupils at Carleton Community High School – who have not had a day off school in the last five years – have been awarded prizes.
Year 11 students Michael Preston, who has not had a day off in 11 years, and Thomas Wood, who has only had one day off in that time, received a book token, a special tie and certificate during a leavers' assembly at the Green Lane school.

The 16-year-olds have just taken their GCSE examinations and are waiting for their results.
Rob Foreman, headteacher, said: "Not having a day off school in that period of time is a fantastic achievement and we were delighted to celebrate it."
