ADRENALINE junkies at Featherstone High School tried out winter sports with a twist on an extreme trampoline.
Skiing and snowboarding equipment was placed on a trampoline for students to try after the 2008 British Snowboard and Freeski Tour slid into the district.
Experts spoke to hundreds of budding thrill-seekers at the Pontefract Road school.
School sports co-ordinator Derek Bailey said: “Our pupils had a super day and really enjoyed themselves, even the teachers didn’t want to go back to class.
“Professionals showed us their skills – including 920 degree flips and daring turns – before the children had a go.”
Students at Pontefract’s King’s School also had a visit from tour professionals before they took part in the prestigious Animal Slopestyle Championships at Castleford’s Xscape.
Mr Bailey added: “Free snow sports lessons were also given out to the students.
“The sports are quite expensive to learn but the students have been able to have a taste and see if they enjoyed it.”
