TEACHERS at Castleford High School were transformed into their favourite stars for two toe-tapping charity events.
Fame-hungry staff sang and danced their way through the concerts, based on the ITV show Stars in Their Eyes, to boost the coffers of Macmillan Cancer Support by £2,100.

Tribute acts entertaining the packed crowds included Oasis, Pink, Scissor Sisters and overall winner Nancy Sinatra.

Technology teacher Robert Surtees, event organiser, said: “All our fantastic acts were backed by a live band and the atmosphere was electric.

“Costumes were as flamboyant as some of the stars and we had a fantastic supporting backstage crew that produced truly memorable events.

“They brought the school community together for a great cause and we would like to thank all those who attended, raised money and took part.”
