WACKY and wonderful floats paraded through the streets of Knottingley this weekend for the town's carnival.
Crowds packed the streets to see the procession of floats on Saturday before enjoying an afternoon of entertainment at the carnival.
Float themes included the roaring 20s, Indiana Jones and Billy Elliot as well as a float by Knottingley High School which provided music with steel drums.

A fairground was a hit with the children as were the Starlightning Majorettes and the Tailwagger Dog Training Club's display team.
Linda Stokes, carnival secretary, said: "We were about worried with the weather in the lead-up to weekend but on the day we were very lucky.
"There were plenty of people who turned out to the parade and on the field and it was a really good day. Everyone had a lot of fun."
