Nearly 400 prints go on show in Castleford from today as the 20:20 Print Exchange 2012 exhibition visits the town.

It follows the success of the 2011 show in the town last autumn. The new exhibition is the biggest yet, with more than 390 prints from 30 print workshops across the UK, on display as part of The Art House, Wakefield’s initiative Sites in Sight: Art for the Quiet Times.

Each artist involved in the project produced a new edition of 25 prints on paper sized 20cm by 20cm, including artist members from The Art House Print Studio in Wakefield, which is open to beginners and experienced printmakers across the district.

The exhibition, in an empty shop at 137 Carlton Street, takes place from Thursday February 28 until Friday April 12, with opening times advertised in the shop and at www.the-arthouse.org.uk and there will be someone on hand to talk about the work and The Art House.
