Step back into the 60s this week as a new amateur theatre group stages a new production.

Sound of the 60s will be at Castleford Phoenix Theatre from Thursday February 28 to Saturday March 2 at 7.15pm, with a Saturday matinee at 2.15pm.

The show, the first production from new theatre group The Company which was formed last September, is packed with song and dance routines with songs like Shout, My Generation, Twist and Shout and Shakin’ All Over.

The show has been written by Tracey Bell, who also directs it and features a cast aged 16 to 30.

Tickets cost £10 and are available from Phoenix Theatre on 01977 664566 or on the door on the night.
