A JURY has been sworn in to hear the trial of a man accused of murdering his mother-in-law.
David Hill, 47, of Lakeside Meadows, Pontefract, denies killing grandmother-of-five Molly Wright, 73, at her home in Redhill Gardens, Castleford, on September 27 2006.
Mrs Wright was a market trader in Castleford and had run her stall, Molly's Cards, for more than 40 years.

A jury of four women and eight men has been selected to hear the trial at Leeds Crown Court, which is expected to last up to five weeks.
Mr Justice Simon told them: "This case involves a charge of murder. The victim is an elderly woman, Molly Wright, and you will of course feel sympathy for her and her family – that would be natural. But it is important that you remain detached during this trial."

The prosecution – represented by Nicholas Campbell QC – is expected to open its case tomorrow morning. Robert Smith QC is representing Hill.
