A FIRE broke out at a malt-making factory in Castleford yesterday morning.
Firefighters from Castleford and Pontefract attended the blaze at Thomas Fawcett and Sons, on Eastfield Lane, at about 8.30am.

The fire was confined to a malt kiln after a cooling tray overheated and was extinguished after about two hours. No-one was injured.
