Boy hit by car

A BOY is in hospital after he was hit by a car in Knottingley.
Police are appealing for witnesses after a ten-year-old boy was hit by a silver Nissan Micra car on Aire Walk, at its junction with The Croftlands, at 7pm on Tuesday night.

The boy was taken to Pinderfields Hospital in Wakefield and later transferred to Leeds General Infirmary where his condition was yesterday described as stable. Anyone with information should contact Wakefield road traffic department on 01924 295436.
