BOSSES at Castleford building contractors Strategic Team Group have announced an £11m restructuring deal that they say will boost staff numbers by ten per cent a year.

The Glass Houghton company, formed in 2000, currently has 165 employees and forecasts a turnover of more than £32m in the next year.

The new deal – with cash put up by Barclays Ventures – means that founding shareholders managing director Andy Watson, business development director Charles Tweed and operations director Gary Taylor, will sell a proportion of their stakeholding to Barclays as well as creating a share pool as an incentive to senior staff.
