TWO schoolboys were robbed at knifepoint for their mobile phones as they walked home in Pontefract.
A 15-year-old and his 16-year-old friend were sheltering from rain in a tunnel under the M62 by Pontefract Park at about 4pm on Sunday May 4 when a gang of three boys approached.

The gang asked the two boys for the time and stole their mobile phones – worth £350 – when they got them out.

The attackers then pinned their victims up against a wall and threatened them while one produced a small knife.

They walked away in the direction of Glass Houghton.

Police are studying CCTV footage and appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

One attacker is described as white, with short ginger hair, aged 16-17 and wearing a blue jacket.

The second is also white, with black hair, fat build, aged 16-17 and wearing a black jacket while the third was a white male.

Anyone with information can call Wakefield CID on 01924 295612.
