THE M62 will be fully closed westbound during the night this weekend for repair work to a bridge.
The motorway will be closed from 8pm on Saturday July 4 to 6am on Sunday July 5 between junction 34, Whitley Bridge, and junction 33, Knottingley, on the westbound carriageway.
Two lanes of the eastbound carriageway will also be closed during these times.
The closure will allow the Highways Agency to finish installing a new bridge beam for Cattlelaith Bridge, which was damaged in a bridge strike in July 2008.
During the closure, a clearly-signed diversion route will be in place via the A19 north, A63 west and A1(M) south.
The work is being carried out overnight when traffic flows are lower, but drivers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and to take extra care when driving through roadworks.
