Man in court after PC hurt

A PONTEFRACT man has been charged after a policeman was injured as he tried to stop a vehicle in East Yorkshire.
The officer was left with facial injuries when he tried to stop a minibus - which has been reported stolen from Horsforth, in Leeds - in Beverley on Saturday.


David Myers, 25, of Springfield View, Pontefract, was charged with dangerous driving, attempted wounding, aggravated vehicle taking, driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance.
He was due to appear at Beverley Magistrates on Monday morning.
