THE funeral will be held this week of a miner who died in a rock fall at Kellingley Colliery last week.
Donald Cook, 50, of The Poplars, Brayton, near Selby suffered serious injuries after part of a mine shaft roof collapsed at the Knottingley colliery at about 8.30pm on Tuesday September 30.

His funeral will be held on Friday.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesman said Mr Cook had been working underground when the roof above him gave way.
He was taken to Ponterfract General Infirmary where he was pronounced dead at 10.55pm.

It is understood that the HM Inspectorate Of Mines has launched an investigation into the incident.
