A MOTORIST had to be cut free from her car after a smash with an HGV on the A1 near Darrington this morning (Thursday May 8).
The woman was freed by Knottingley firefighters after the accident between a Peugeot 206, Skoda Fabia and a DAF lorry at 8am on the northbound carriageway near Barnsdale Bar.
