POLICE have renewed an appeal for information about a brutal attack on a teenager in April.
An 18-year-old man was with his girlfriend outside the Charlotte Hotel in Castleford, walking to the railway station, when they were shouted at by men in a nearby dark car, some time between 3am and 3.30am on Sunday April 30.
Four or five men then got out of the car and one punched the 18-year-old before a second man hit him in the face with a crowbar.

The attackers then got back in the car and fled the scene.
The victim was treated at Pontefract General Infirmary for facial injuries and is said to be still recovering from the attack.
The first attacker is described as white, medium build, with short hair and wearing dark clothing.

The second attacker, who carried the crowbar, was also white and of medium build, and both are thought to be in their late teens and late 20s.
A man was arrested on suspicion of assault after the attack and released without charge.

Police have appealed for anyone who may have been in the area that night and witnessed the attack or saw the suspects, the vehicle parked nearby earlier that evening or saw all or part of its registration.
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Gary Colby at Wakefield CID on 01924 295603.
