Teenage cyclist killed

A TEENAGE cyclist from Great Preston has died after a road accident in Micklefield.
The 19-year-old was taken to Leeds General Infirmary after the crash in Micklefield at about 7.20am on Tuesday morning.


Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident, when a Renault Traffic small goods vehicle, travelling along Ridge Road from Kippax and heading towards Selby Road, was in collision with the cyclist who was travelling in the same direction.
Witnesses should contact PC 5178 Chris Haigh, at north east Leeds traffic police on 0845 6060606.
