A right royal knees up!

REVELLERS got into the party spirit as Prince William married Kate Middleton at Westminister Abbey on Friday.

Express photographers were on hand to capture scenes of jubilation and celebration across the Five Towns – where residents decorated their homes with bunting, neighbours united to throw street parties and children dressed up as mini princes and princesses.

Church Lane in North Featherstone was one of just eight roads in the district to close for celebrations and residents took the opportunity to party into the night.

Schoolchildren also enjoyed right royal activities – including mock wedding ceremonies and fun-filled extravaganzas – before finishing the school week a day early on Thursday.
