An artist is staging a two-month long exhibition down the pub.
Lisa V Robinson will display her work at Harry’s Bar, off Westgate, from 6pm on Wednesday, March 18.
Amy Lilley, of ArtPlace - a social enterprise that supports emerging and local artists - said: “This is the first of a series of Art & Ale preview nights, a chance to catch up with the artist and socialize with other creatives before the mad rush of the Artwalk on Wednesday, March 25!”
The event includes free pork pie and live music from Jilly Riley at 9pm.
Miss Lilley added: “Lisa V Robinson is currently based in Studio A7, Westgate Studios, Wakefield. She studied BA Fine Art Painting at Manchester School of Art, graduating with First-Class Honours in 2008. Since graduating from university, Lisa has proceeded to win the Joan Day Painting Bursary and was shortlisted for the New Lights Art Prize.”
