The man accused of killing Castleford woman Chelsea Hyndman has been convicted of causing her death.

Luke Walker, 25, was handed an eight year suspended sentence last night for causing Chelsea’s death in Crete in 2010.

Walker, of the West Midlands, was found guilty after a two day trial at Heraklion Mixed Criminal Court on a downgraded charge of GBH.

Chelsea, 20, of Princess Street, died in the resort of Malia after sustaining ruptured internal organs.

Greek prosecutors claim Walker – her boyfriend of around two years – beat Chelsea up, causing her injuries.
