Jobs could be at risk at retail chain La Senza after the company which owns it went into administration.
The underwear company employs nine staff at its shop in Wakefield’s Trinity Walk shopping centre.
Marnixheath, which bought La Senza in 2012, has called in the administrators after a decline in sales.
Robert Moran, joint administrator for PricewaterhouseCoopers, said there were no immediate plans to close any La Senza stores.
He said: “Like many other retailers, La Senza has been hit hard by the difficult economic environment and a slowdown in consumer spending.
“The administrators are continuing to trade the businesses as normal for the time being whilst discussions take place with interested parties in respect of a sale.
“We welcome any approaches to purchase all or part of the store portfolio.”
