Following on from the recent announcement of scholarship graduate Jake Sweeting, Castleford Tigers are delighted to announce that fellow scholarship players Lewis Carr (Normanton Knights), Lucas Glyn-Riley (East Leeds), Shay North (Lock Lane), Evan Morris (Castleford Panthers), Jonty Glendinning (East Leeds) and Joe Fella (East Leeds) have all signed professional contracts at the club.
They will all progress into the under 19s academy after impressing on the club’s scholarship programme.
Tigers head of youth Pete Riding said: “It is with great pleasure we are able to confirm these signings who will now transition into our under 19s academy environment.
“All of these lads have been monitored very closely over recent times and have not only been impressive on the playing field but have been exceptional in their training and preparation in our scholarship environment and constantly display the desired characterises required to progress in the game.”
Castleford’s under 19s are back in action at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle on Thursday night when they take on Wakefield Wildcats with a 7pm kick off. Entry is £3 for adults and £1.50 for juniors with season ticket holders able to gain free entry.
