Castleford Trinity Methodist Scouts offered their green fingers to a community planting project last week.
As part of Scout Community Week, the young scouts helped to weed gardens and plant seeds at Queens Park, in Castleford.
Julie Martin, leader, said: “Scout Community Week is all about giving something back to the local community and demonstrating the impact scouting has on individuals and the community as a whole.
“We chose to help out at Queens Park because it is a public venue enjoyed by much of our local community and now the scouts will be able to look at the flowers and think I did that.
“The rain started coming down but they weren’t phased, they just got on with it and emerged very muddy with a smile on their faces, glad to have helped out the Castleford community.”
National Scout Community Week ran from June 2 until June 8.
