Knottingley councillor Graham Stokes took to the saddle last month as he raised hundreds of pounds for charities across the area.
Coun Stokes was joined by his two sons, Darren and Stuart, and friend Ian Spencer, as they cycled 228 miles from Southport to Hornsea in just four days.
The group have so far raised more than £600 which will be split between Cancer Research UK, Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Make A Wish Foundation and Walton Neuroscience Fund.
Coun Stokes said: “It was very challenging, especially over the Woodhead Pass from Manchester to Barnsley because we was carrying all of our equipment too but it was all for very worthwhile causes.”
