A Streethouse cheerleader and beauty queen has been crowned Miss Teen West Yorkshire for the second year running.
Sixteen-year-old Courteney Wood took the top spot in the pageant competition, beating hundreds of teens from across the country.
She will now compete in the grand final of Miss Teen Great Britain.
Miss Wood said: “Growing up I was always really girly and loved dressing up so that’s how I got into doing beauty competitions.
“It’s more than just the beauty side of things, though. I had to answers lots of questions about myself and my achievements, what I want to do in the future and how I plan to do charity work with a range of children.
“I am really pleased and honoured to have made it to the final.”
Miss Wood is also a cheerleader for the Rugby League Rockettes dance troupe and will be performing in the Challenge Cup semi-finals at Leigh and St Helens and at the final at Wembley.
The former Crofton Academy student said: “I have been dancing for a long time and so this is a really big achievement for me to now make it to such a big event at Wembley.”
