A convicted rapist who has escaped from prison could be in West Yorkshire.
Adam Mark was serving a life sentence for abducting and raping a woman, as well as attempting to abduct and rape two other women in Leeds in the 1990s.
The 37-year-old was serving time at HMP Leyhill, in South Gloucestershire, when he absconded yesterday (Tuesday).
Avon and Somerset Constabulary are appealing for the public’s help to trace him and believe he may have returned to his home county of West Yorkshire.
He was last seen outside the reception area at the prison at 7.30pm and is thought to have left sometime between 7.30-9.30pm.
He is white, about 5ft 6ins tall, of medium build and has short cropped brown hair. He has a diamond earring in his left ear, has blue eyes and also has tattoos.
He was wearing a grey tracksuit when he went missing.
Police have advised anyone spotting Adam Mark not to approach him but to call 999.
