HOT-FOOTED Olivia Wright has won her second national streetdance trophy at the age of eight.
The talented Ledston Lady Elizabeth Hastings Primary School pupil, who lives in Methley, beat 40 of the country’s best young dancers to scoop first place of the six to eight-years-old category at the Street Nationwide competition in Stoke.
The youngster, who has been learning street, freestyle and rock and roll dancing at the village’s JKS School of Dance since the age of four, won her first national streetdance title aged six.
Her proud mum Joanne said: “Her whole family – me, her dad Scott and brother Joshua – are so proud of her. It’s such a massive achievement to win it again, I can’t put it into words.”
Olivia also took third place in the team section of the competition on Sunday March 11.
She also reached the semi-finals of the under nines duos section with partner Daisy Campbell, also from Methley.
Joanne added: “I would like to take this opportunity to send a huge congratulations to all the JKS dancers and to dance teachers Jayne Scott and Lauren White for all their hard work and dedication. I’d also like to thank Lady Elizabeth Hastings for all its support and encouragement.”
