A joint campaign to raise awareness of dementia has been launched by Wakefield Council, NHS Wakefield Clinical Commissioning Group and the Alzheimer’s Society.

Coun Pat Garbutt, cabinet member for adults and health, said: “Knowing the signs to look out for is important to help diagnose dementia as early as possible.

“Difficulty in performing familiar tasks, changes in mood or behaviour and being confused about time and place could be the early signs of dementia.”
