THOSE of us who were fortunate to work at Pontefract General Infirmary were extremely sad when it was closed and demolished last year.
There had been a general hospital on the PGI site for over 100 years. It was the end of an era and it was regrettable that there was no recognition of this, or of the dedication and commitment of the PGI staff, by the Mid Yorkshire management.
The good news is that we are holding a reunion on Friday May 18 from 7pm to 1am, at the King’s Croft Hotel in Pontefract, including hog roast and live band.
Tickets cost £20 and all Mid Yorkshire staff past and present, and friends, are invited to a night to remember and celebrate the PGI era.
Tickets are available from Dr Colin White, email firstname.lastname@example.org or text 07876 234054.
