Inspirational youngster Kenan Wilkes - who has cerebral palsy - has had his dream of having a custom-made bike come true.
The brave 11-year-old, whose condition affects his arms and legs, had an operation in February.
His parents Samantha and Mark, of Churchfield Mews, Castleford, sparked a fundraising campaign that raised more than £2,000 to buy the bike which will help his recovery from the operation.
Mrs Wilkes said: “He hasn’t been off the bike since he got it. He absolutely loves it.
“He has always wanted a bike but has never been able to ride a normal one before so we wanted to get him a custom-made one.”
The Park Road Junior School pupil will move to Castleford Academy in September and is an avid Castleford Tigers fan.
Mrs Wilkes said: “Kenan is such a little fighter and I am so proud of him.
“We would like to thank everyone for their support and donations.”
