Brother and sister Liam and Sarah Holmes proved they’re right on target after gaining an air cadets’ shooting award.
Liam, 14, and Sarah, 17, both members of Knottingley Air Cadets squadron, gained their Wing Marksman award earlier this month.
To win the award – the second level of shooting award cadets can gain – cadets must shoot a target 25m away.
Flt Lt Luke Harvey, commanind officer, said: “Liam and Sarah have shown a natural flair for shooting and they are the first cadets in the squadron to achieve a marksman award for some time.
“It was the first time either of them had ever shot as part of the cadets so it’s even more of an achievement for them.
“They are now keen to develop their shooting skills and aiming their sights at the highest shooting award, the Corps Marksman.”
Knottingley Air Cadets meet every Monday and Thursday from 7pm to 9.30pm at De Lacy Academy, Middle Lane, Knottingley.
