Help is needed to help secure the future of Ackworth Library.
The community-run facility urgently needs books and craft materials for its children’s activities.
The library group is also hoping volunteers and businesses will come forward to help run and fund the Bell Lane site.
Roger Brown, trustee of the Friends of Ackworth Library group, said: “We’re entirely funded by charitable donations but for our long term security, we need to start building up funds.
“We’re hoping a local business can help either with sponsorship or donations.”
Mr Brown said the group also needs people to help with managing the catalogue and forthcoming events.
He said: “We have well over 500 members which is more than when it was run by the council, but we’re having to manage this as well.
“So if anyone can help even as little as an hour a week, get in touch.”
Ackworth Library was saved by the community earlier this year when it was earmarked for the axe by Wakefield Council.
It re-opened in March under control of volunteers.
