Youngsters in Knottingley had an egg-citing time when they took part in an Easter egg hunt at the town’s Old Quarry Adventure Playground.

More than 85 children and their parents took part in the event which was held last Wednesday.

Holly Ellis, centre operations manager at the playground, said: “It went really well. We had around 85 children come down to take part which was really good.

“The ages ranged from six-month old babies to grandparents in their 80s – it was a great day.”

Every child who took part received an Easter egg.

The playground’s Easter activities continue today and tomorrow. A fun and games session for children with additional needs takes place today at the venue, on Sycamore Avenue, between 3pm and 5pm.

There is also a youth club for those aged between 11 and 16 from 6pm to 8pm.

Sports sessions and games will be held tomorrow (Friday) from 2pm to 5pm.
